Prime Minister of Australia to make first official visit to Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR 09 July 2008 – The Honourable Kevin Rudd MP, Prime Minister of Australia, will make his first official visit to Malaysia as Prime Minister on Thursday 10 July 2008.
The purpose of the visit is to advance Australia’s bilateral partnership with one of Australia’s most important neighbours.
During his visit the Prime Minister will be received in audience by His Majesty the King of Malaysia and will meet Prime Minister Abdullah and other senior Malaysian ministers. The Prime Minister will also visit a local school and present a luncheon address to Malaysian and Australian business representatives.
The Prime Minister has a full day of appointments and events in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday and will return to Australia on Thursday evening.
